For safety reasons this year the 110km SRAM Tour de Ranges will have staggered starts.  This is to help reduce the build up of large bunches.  The Women's and Men's Elite races will start in seperate groups.

All groups will be seperated by 3 minute intervals with the balance of the field starting together.

The starting groups will be as follows:

9:00am    Elite Men

9:03am    Elite Females

9:10am    Group 1   (riders expecting to finish under 3:15) (34+ kilometers per hour pace)

9:13am    Group 2   (riders expecting to finish between 3:15 and 3:29) (34 to 31.5 kilometers per hour pace)

9:34am    Group 9   (riders expecting to finish in 4.30 plus) (24 kilometers per hour pace or slower)

9:45am                      All 30km cyclists start together.

All riders in the same group will be given the same starting time.  Results will be based on gun time for each group.

Competitors should provide their estimated times or previous best time when entering.  Riders will be allocated to groups based on estimated times.  Group allocation and race numbers will be allocated 1 week prior to the event.  We cannot guarantee late entries a specific group and so if you are keen to ride in a specific group it will be important to enter before the 1st January.

Note: It is very, very important that you are not overly optomistic in you time expectation.  You will maximise your performance by riding with riders of a similar capability.
