SRAM Tour de Ranges is coming up on 12 January 2019. Each year we have SRAM Mechanics on course. We caught up with Peter Adams from SRAM. Check it out below. The most common issue SRAM Mechanics come across is flat tyres. They recommend you make sure you give your bike a good clean and lube the chain and check over your tyres for wear, cuts and glass and replace them if suspect. Make sure your brakes and gears are working well, and if there are any niggles, give your local bike shop a couple of weeks notice to get your bike sorted! Q: How has SRAM changed throughout the years? A: SRAM has a vision that has not changed, SRAM believes in the power of bicycles to make people’s lives better – this is our core value. Now that we have achieved total drive train Nirvana, we will continue to seek and deploy technological and engineering advancements, as we compulsively refine and redefine the pinnacle of the ultimate ride. Q: What inspired SRAM to get involved with Tour de Ranges? A: What better than to partner with the most beautiful ride of the year – the course is spectacular! QUICK TIP FROM SRAM: "Don't forget to pump up your tyres - and pack energy food!" Q: How have SRAM seen the event change over the last 10 years?
A: With the exception of the year when the weather damaged the course, not much has changed. It is a great ride, lets hope it stays that way. We are looking forward to the next decade of awesome riding around greater Auckland. |
